Compost Features

COMPOST FEATURES.png

If we look at the compost structure through the microscope, together with decomposing organic remains, we would see thousands of bacteria, yeast, fungi, protozoa and other life forms that directly or indirectly feed on organic remains. The enzymes mineralize them, transform into soluble substances, which can already be absorbed by the plant roots growing in compost. Therefore, the plants growing in compost develop much faster than being fertilized only with mineral fertilizers, as the plants get biogenic substances constantly generating that are necessary for their growth.
In other words, the plants growing in compost are sort of on the roof of the food production workshop, when the roots play the role of courier delivering the nutrients.
